DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Role: AWS Devops Engineer-Infrastructure
Location: Remote
Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description:

  • The project aims to develop a system that provides real-time notifications based on resource utilization and cost optimization insights for core AWS resources. These include but are not limited to, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudWatch, Kinesis, VPC Endpoints, S3, and ElastiCache. It will utilize tools such as AWS Trusted Advisor, AWS Compute Optimizer, AWS CloudWatch, and AWS Cost and Usage Report (CUR) for comprehensive data collection and analysis. A key feature of the system will be its ability to visualize cost information, making it easier for teams to understand spending patterns, identify savings opportunities, and make data-driven decisions. The goal is to empower teams to efficiently manage AWS resources, minimize costs, and enhance operational efficiency through proactive notifications and clear insights into cost optimization efforts.

    • The Required Skills Are:

  • Understanding of Cost optimization on AWS
  • CDK (Python, TypeScript)
  • CloudFormation / IaaC
  • Comfortable in GitOps environment
  • Functional knowledge of core AWS infrastructure, e.g. Compute, Databases, S3
  • Scripting - Python is sufficient
  • Great to have:
  • Understand CUR data
  • Functional Quicksight, Athena, may be Glue
  • Dashboarding in Kibana
